端午节是我们中国的传统节日。端午节这一天，我们大家都要吃粽子，这是谁都知道的。当然，还不止这一个习俗，还有：赛龙舟、挂香包、采艾篙、喝雄黄酒等。

端午节那天，我们一家三口在家里准备包粽子。那是我第一次包粽子，既好奇又兴奋。看到妈妈拿出早就准备好的原料：有粽叶、糯米、红枣等。这粽叶又大又长，绿绿的；这糯米又香又甜，白白的；这红枣又大又圆，红红的。光看着这些东西就已经馋得我垂涎三尺。一切准备就绪后，爸爸开始包了，只见他流利地把粽叶卷成漏斗状，然后把糯米和红枣塞到粽叶里，再把上面的叶子折下来，就成了个三角形状的物体，最后用绳子缠好，一个粽子就做好了。

Just looking at these things makes me salivate. When everything was ready, Dad began to pack. He fluently rolled the leaves into a funnel, then stuffed the glutinous rice and red dates into the leaves, then folded the leaves off, and they became a triangle shaped object. Finally, he wrapped them with a rope, and a zongzi was ready.
我看了就说：“这么简单索，让我来包。”妈妈说让她在一旁给我指导，我连忙摇摇头说：“不用，不用，我已经会包了，你们就看我的吧！”我先学爸爸一样把粽叶卷成漏斗状，可这个却难倒了我，怎么样也弄不好，等我把糯米和红枣塞到粽叶里，哪知这个粽叶不听使唤，一下就蹦开了，糯米和红枣顿时就洒了一地，我非常失望，生气地说：“我不包了。”爸爸语重心长地对我说：“刚才是谁在那说简单的嘛，怎么这么快就打退堂鼓了，遇到困难，就想要逃避。做一件事情，要认真地去做，刚开始做不好，这是正常的，只要你坚持下去，就一定有好结果。”听到爸爸的话，我非常羞愧，脸像红苹果一样红。

I was very disappointed and said angrily, "I don't want to pack it." My father said to me with a long heart: "who was there to say something simple just now? How can I retreat so quickly? I want to escape when I encounter difficulties. To do a thing, we should do it seriously. At the beginning, we can't do it well. This is normal. As long as you stick to it, there will be good results. " I was very ashamed to hear my father's words, and my face was as red as a red apple.
我重新走到餐桌边，坐下来后全神贯注地包起来，在妈妈的帮助下，我包的第一个粽子出炉了，看着它，心里充满了成就感。是呀！认认真真包的粽子就是漂亮！爸爸妈妈笑了，我也笑了。
